  • GRADE RECORD CERTIFIED BY THE UNIVERSITY ONLY, NOT BY THE MESCYT, SPECIFYING
  • THE TOTAL AMOUNT OF SUBJECTS YOU HAVE TAKEN THROUGHOUT YOUR CAREER AND INCLUDING THE GRADE

IMPORTANT: Remember, the university documentation required for the consular appointment is of utmost importance and MANDATORY, consular officers ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR THE INTERNAL PROBLEMS OF EACH UNIVERSITY. Failure to present university documentation on the day of your interview could have negative consequences on the final result.

To all UASD students, if the grade record is not delivered in time for their appointment, UASD students can print their academic card online and find a way to have it stamped by the institution, being able to Use it to replace the Note Record, only if the Note Record is not delivered on time.

FINANCIAL DOCUMENTATION MAY CONSIST OF THE FOLLOWING: (WILL APPLY ONLY IF YOU HAVE THEM ON HAND) 

NOTE: The more documents provided by the student in terms of financial documentation from the person who pays for their program and their parents, the better. If you can carry them all, our recommendation is that you do so.

  • WORK LETTER FROM THE STUDENT, ONLY IF THEY WORK IN A FORMAL COMPANY, FROM THEIR PARENTS AND THE PERSON(S) WHO IS PAYING FOR THEIR TRIP, ONLY IF THEY WORK IN A FORMAL COMPANY;

This letter must indicate the length of time you have worked in the company, the position you hold and the salary you receive. However, if the student does NOT work, said document must be from the parents and the person who is paying the expenses of their trip. (ORIGINAL DOCUMENT)

  • BANK DOCUMENTS OF THE STUDENT, THEIR PARENTS AND THE PERSON WHO IS PAYING FOR THEIR TRIP;

Bank letter(s) specifying the amount you have in the account(s), whether savings or current. However, if the student does not have bank accounts, they must obtain such documentation from their parents and the person(s) who is paying for their trip expenses. If the person who is going to pay for the program resides in the UNITED STATES, you must send them via email a copy of the W-2 form for 2019. Photocopy of the student's property titles, vehicle registration, or bank deposit certificates. , if you have them, from their parents or guardians and from the person(s) who is paying for their trip. (DOCUMENTS IN LEGIBLE PHOTOCOPY)

It is important to emphasize, if your parents and the person who is paying for your trip have All the documents mentioned above, please bring them all, if you do not have any of them, because they do not exist, please omit them.

NOTE: Regarding vehicle properties and license plates, acts of sale are NOT accepted. If the property does not have a title issued in the name of the person(s) who is paying for the program, it is not valid; Just like vehicle license plates: if the license plate is not in the name of the person(s) who is paying for your trip, it is NOT valid.


Ace International Liability

  • Advise and inform the student about the steps to follow, based on the regulations of this institution and the Summer Work and Travel program.
  • Management of your DS-2020 form; (Work Permit)
  • Coordinate consular appointments for interview purposes;
  • Coordinate the departure dates of the groups, Full Program students with air tickets. These dates will not be subject to change).
  • Guide the student on how to go on their own to their final destination within the UNITED STATES.
  • Provide all the information and tools necessary for the trip:
  • Orientation prior to your departure.
  • One-way air ticket (If Applicable)
  • Emergency Medical Insurance
  • Information prior to your departure, for the issuance of your Social Security or Social Security ü Orientation Manual for the Summer Work and Travel program.

IMPORTANT TO REMEMBER:

ACE INTERNATIONAL DOES NOT include the tax payable for the consular appointment. You are not responsible if your J-1 visa is not granted, nor can you change the consulate's decision after your interview. The student should NOT inform his or her parents or guardians that this institution ensures the approval of the visa necessary to travel to the United States. 

If the decision of the corresponding consular officer in your interview is negative, ACE INTERNATIONAL CANNOT appeal the decision of the consular officer, that is, second appointments or subsequent interviews are NOT accepted.


Restudent responsibility

  • Provide true and reliable information.
  • Inform your parents or guardians of the objectives and benefits that the Summer Work And Travel program and ACE INTERNATIONAL offer.
  • Attend all talks organized by ACE INTERNATIONAL, accompanied by your parents or guardians;
  • Make payments and deposit documentation on the agreed date;
  • Make FULL PAYMENT FOR THE PROGRAM, prior to your consular appointment;
  • Read all information provided by ACE INTERNATIONAL;
  • Possess sufficient maturity and independence to be able to function on their own in the United States and in a different culture;
  • Comply with the date established in your employment contract by your employer, both beginning and ending, regarding your work responsibilities in the UNITED STATES;

Upon arrival in the United States, it is mandatory that each student report to their Sponsor agency within a period of no more than 3 days. This process will be explained to you upon delivery of your final documents, prior to your departure to the United States;

Have enough money, between (USD$800.00 and USD$1,000.00) to cover your personal expenses during the first two (02) weeks after your arrival in the United States until you receive your regular weekly payments, which generally begin after the second week of work.

GENERAL NOTES 

After ACE INTERNATIONAL has assigned you and confirmed your employment in the United States, it is your responsibility to maintain appropriate behavior. In that sense, if the student decides not to comply with his employment contract, he would be acting outside the rules established by the Summer Work and Travel program and by this company, which could lead to the cancellation of the program and his visa.

All students will be notified, within an approximate period of fifteen (15) days prior to their departure to the USA, in the event that their ticket does not correspond to ACE INTERNATIONAL, the student must provide their arrival ticket to the final destination no later than April 30, 2020

Flight departures from the DR to the USA (FLL- AIRPORT) will be established solely and exclusively by ACE INTERNATIONAL, Full Program students with one-way airfare included and will not be subject to changes, they will be worked respecting the start date of the contract.

ACE INTERNATIONAL is not responsible for any dismissal of a student due to misconduct or lack of responsibility in their employment.  

After the student's J1 visa has been approved, THERE WILL BE NO REFUNDS.

LIST OF ITEMS THAT YOU CANNOT

CARRY TO THE CONSULATE ON THE DAY OF THE APPOINTMENT

The following is a list of PROHIBITED items, please do not bring such items on your day. Note that cell phones are on the list, so they are also prohibited. We apologize for any inconvenience this policy may cause.

  • Cell Phones and/or smartwatch or Firearms or Sharp Objects (Knives, Scissors, Pliers Etc…) or Photographic Cameras.
  • Video Cameras or Sound Recorders or Personal Computers or Lighters/Matches.
  • Pepper Spray o Aerosol Spray o Radios/ MP3 Players o Backpacks, suitcases, briefcases or other types of packages or bags o Drinks, food or chewing gum.


IMPORTANT RECOMMENDATIONS FOR A GOOD CONSULAR INTERVIEW

  • All interviews will be conducted in the English language;
  • It is important that when going to the indicated window, all students politely greet the corresponding officer, smile and not get nervous;
  • It is of utmost importance that all students answer all the questions that the consular officer asks them strictly with the truth, concise and confident in their answers, lying could have negative consequences in the final result of their interview;
  • All students should take into account the dates on which the summer term of their university study center operates, not necessarily the exact dates, but a good answer would be "The summer at my university generally begins in the middle of May and ends the first week of September 2020, therefore, the next period begins the second week of September 2020. It is of utmost importance that the student masters the status in which he is currently in his career, that is, your academic indexthe time you have been studying, the number of subjects you have taken throughout your career and the estimated time it would take you to graduate;
  • All students must carefully read the description of their employment and final employment contract, since consular officers ask them questions related to their employment, in that sense, logically, Everyone must master the information related to their employer and company of final destination, which is described in said documents;
  • It is important that the student masters and has knowledge of the employment information of his parents or the person who is paying for his program, that is, the company where he works and the salary he receives, in addition to that, if it is not one of his parents. who is paying for your program, you must master this information about that person, therefore, you must investigate those details well;
  • It is of utmost importance to understand what is considered direct and indirect family members for consular officers, whether they are citizens or residents of the United States. In that sense, father, mother and siblings are considered direct relatives, therefore, uncles, cousins and grandparents are considered indirect. However, regardless of whether it is direct or indirect, if you have a family member who is a citizen or resident of the United States, it is of utmost importance to answer this question appropriately and truthfully; omitting or denying the existence of family members in the United States could have negative consequences on the final result of your interview with the consular officer.

In another order, any student who needs ACE INTERNATIONAL to lend them any of the university documents already deposited by you, as long as these documents are from the January / April 2020 period and that for some reason their university study center was late in delivering them to them. , you can request via email that it be provided to you, therefore, on the day you come to review your documents related to your consular appointment, you can try with our staff to have it delivered to you, in that sense, as soon as your consular interview ends you must Return these documents to the ACE INTERNATIONAL Staff member who is with you that day. (THIS CONCEPTION COULD BE MADE FOR STUDENTS WHO HAVE THEIR DOCUMENTATION, BECAUSE A LARGE NUMBER OF THEM IS SENT TO THE USA)

GUIDELINES AND REGULATIONS FOR CONSULAR APPOINTMENT

  • The student must arrive at the meeting point on the day of their appointment at the indicated time, and must appear before the representative(s) of ACE INTERNATIONAL, who will be wearing a white shirt with the logo of our institution, and will be waiting for them at the meeting point. the La Sombra parking lot that is located on the corner before arriving at the United States consulateNo student can go to the consulate door without the ACE INTERNATIONAL representative, they must meet the staff at the location mentioned above.
  • After the representative(s) of ACE INTERNATIONAL registers you on the list, they will indicate which line you should stand in at the entrance of the consulate, therefore, No student may approach the line without our representative(s) informing him/her that he/she may do so; (VIOLATION OF THIS PROCESS COULD CAUSE NEGATIVE EFFECTS TO YOUR INTERVIEW AND/OR THAT OF YOUR COLLEAGUES).
  • The student, after entering the consulate facilities, must always wait for instructions from the ACE INTERNATIONAL representative(s) or a member of consular security and must sit where he/she is instructed;
  • The student, after the representative(s) of ACE INTERNATIONAL or a member of consular security tells him where he should sit, will wait calmly and within a certain time, will be called by his name or group (Agency to which he belongs). to a window that will be indicated to you when you are called for your interview with the consular officer;
  • The student, after being called to the window that corresponds to him, while standing waiting for his turn for his interview, under no circumstances can he change the window nor can he leave the row where he was called, anyone who changes row and window, will be expelled from the

Consulate facilities, your visa denied and there will be no refund of what you paid in the program, therefore, maintain good behavior during this process;

  • The student, after his interview with the consular officer is finished, must go to where the representative of ACE INTERNATIONAL is located within the consulate facilities and hand him all the documents that the consular officer gives him, whether the approved visa. or denied, therefore, no student can leave the consulate facilities without handing over the documents that the consular officer gives them at the end of their interview, whether their result is positive or negative, to our representative(s);
  • The student, regardless of the result of their interview (positive or negative), cannot stop to talk to our representative(s) about their case, therefore, after they give the representative(s) of ACE INTERNATIONAL their documents , you must leave the consulate facilities immediately and go to continue your activities. No one can stay inside the consulate after your interview ends, regardless of whether you are waiting for a colleague, therefore, if you are waiting for a colleague who has not arrived, interviewed, must do so outside the consulate facilities;
  • Once again we remind you that before attending the consular appointment, the student must have his or her program fully settled.
